This license covers the Quilt software in this repository and in any package,
installer or app built from it, including its source code, object code,
documentation, designs and assets (the "Software"). The Software is
proprietary. It is not open source. Its source code may be publicly visible,
but being able to see it does not give you any right to use it.

1. Paid use only

   You may install and use the Software only (a) as distributed by Quilt
   through heyquilt.com or an official Quilt release, and (b) under a plan
   Quilt offers and you hold (a paid subscription, or a free plan or trial
   Quilt provides), or other written permission from Quilt. That use is
   limited to the plan you have, is personal, non-exclusive and
   non-transferable, and ends when your plan or permission ends. Features of a
   paid plan may be used only while it is paid for.

2. What you may not do

   Except as Quilt expressly allows in writing, you may not, and may not help
   or allow anyone else to:

   a. copy, clone, fork, mirror or download the source code for any purpose
      other than the use allowed in section 1;
   b. modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the Software;
   c. use the Software, or any part, design, protocol, algorithm or idea taken
      from its source code, to build, train, improve or offer any product or
      service, including one that competes with Quilt;
   d. sell, sublicense, rent, lend, publish, distribute, host or otherwise make
      the Software available to anyone else, including as a hosted or managed
      service;
   e. run your own relay, API or other server from the Software, or connect
      the Software to servers other than Quilt's, except the local sessions
      the official app itself starts on your own network;
   f. remove, bypass or interfere with any sign-in, account, licence or
      payment check, or any notice of ownership;
   g. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Software that
      is not provided as source, except where the law forbids this restriction;
   h. use the Software or its source code as training, fine-tuning or
      evaluation data for any machine-learning or AI model.

3. Ownership

   Quilt and its licensors own the Software and all intellectual property in
   it. This license grants you no rights except the limited right in section
   1. Quilt reserves every right not expressly granted. Any feedback or
   suggestions you give may be used by Quilt without obligation to you.

4. Third-party components

   The Software includes or depends on third-party open-source components.
   Those components are licensed to you under their own licenses, and nothing
   in this license limits your rights under them. This license applies only to
   the code and materials written by or for Quilt.

5. Termination

   Your rights under this license end automatically and immediately if you
   break any of its terms. When they end you must stop using the Software and
   delete every copy you have, including any copy of its source code.

6. No warranty

   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
   IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
   PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW
   ALLOWS.

7. Limitation of liability

   TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, IN NO EVENT WILL QUILT, DANIEL
   CARMICHAEL OR ANY CONTRIBUTOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER
   LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR
   IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.

8. Other terms

   Your use of Quilt is also governed by the Terms of Service at
   https://heyquilt.com/terms. If any part of this license is found
   unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
